The National Catholic Medical Association is opposed to POLST implementation.
2016 Florida legislative session:
Senate bill SB664, as amended, passed in the Senate Health Policy Committee on Feb.1, 2016 but did not proceed any further in the legislative process. The House counterpart bill was never scheduled for Committee hearings. Consequently, thanks be to God, POLST legislation failed in 2016. The Senate Committee vote record noted that Senator Flores cast a NAY vote.
